There are numerous spots in Colorado for excellent fly fishing. The first place we are going to start on our list is the Fyingpan River. This is one of the most popular rivers in Colorado and can be found in the Aspen area, Fryingpan River has achieved gold medal status. The river is marked by running through the Maroon Formation. Fishermen come away with enormous trout each day.
Outside of Denver there are two areas that you must try out. One is Clear Creek that lasts for miles with much of it on public land. Don’ t be mistaken by the name it’s more of a river than a creek. In the Vail Region you will find an abundance of spots to fish at. You are gifted with the Blue River, Colorado River that all have achieved the status of Gold Medal Water. One river in the area that is forgotten by many making it a great place to escape to is The Eagle River.
